About Us
I have been building twig furniture for fourteen years and I decided to expand what had been a hobby into a business when I retired from AT&T in 1998. Initially, I built furniture for personal use and then expanded to sell the pieces at art shows. I'm always looking for new information about twig furniture and I attended a school in Mineral Point, Wisconsin called Woodlanders, where they discussed how interesting it was to teach people about twig furniture building. I tried it twelve years ago and was hooked! I now teach a class at Woodlanders. I particularly enjoy teaching students who have never used tools to build anything, let alone twig furniture. I take great pride in the fact that everyone finishes their chosen piece of furniture by the end of their class and great delight in the wonderful smiles that are on their faces when they display their furniture in the photos on this web site. I have been told by my students that I have a great deal of patience and have been given an award as the Community Education teacher of the year by the Maple Grove/Osseo Community Education organization.
