TWIG FURNITURE MAKING IN THE WOODS
A beautiful piece of twig furniture or garden arbor awaits you in the woods near Red Wing, Minnesota. Begin by walking the trails, selecting and cutting your wood, which will be brought back to the barn for you. Then make your piece of furniture, interrupted only by a wonderful lunch. Choose one of the following: G arden Arbor, 7' tall x 2' wide; Slab Garden Bench 3' long, made from a slab of hardwood with hardwood legs and a barn board backrest; Whimsical Twig Chair approximatley 42" high x 18" wide, each one a uniquely different piece; or a Barnboard Table with twig edges that can be configured as a sofa table, coffee table, end table, side table, etc. (Max lenght 3'). This is your chance to design your own table! Bring your height, length and width measurements, or make a circular shape table up to 3' in diameter. If you aren't sure which piece you would like to build, come to the barn, look at the examples on display, and then decide! If two people want to work on one piece, there is an additional charge of $15. Kids are welcome to assist, with a minimum age of 10. Register early as directions to the class location near Red Wing and a list of simple tools to bring will be mailed upon receipt of your registration. Also included will be a list of B&B's, hotels and motels in that area, if desired. Class size is limited, so register early. Make arrangements to transport your creation home. Most vans, SUV's and pickups will hold your piece. Classes are from 9am to 5pm. Bent Willow Chair classes are two days and they will be held in conjunction with single day classes.

To register for one day classes, please fill in the form and send it, along with a check for $125, payable to Bob McNeely, at 13572 Ferris Avenue, Apple Valley, Mn. 55124. For the Bent Willow two day class, the fee is $225. Add $15 for additional helpers working on one project. Fee includes lunch, tuition and all materials.
